SUSHI (Dressage/Eventer)
With the looks of a superstar and bravery to boot Sushi is one of Edward's all time favorite horses. Sushi was bred by Lauren Lee Dearlove and her business partner Denise Williams in 2011. The 16.3hh Oldenburg Mare by Sempatico (Oldenburg/Pinto) and out of Ariel (Swedish Warmblood/KWPN) was a Premium award winning foal and started her competition career under saddle with Edward in April 2017. By October 2017 she went clear around both CIC and CCI1* showing how much talent she has to give and confirming the excitement here at Ewbank Equestrian. Sushi ran around her first Intermediate with ease and followed it up by winning the Virginia FEI CCI2*-L a month later during the spring 2018 season. Sushi retired from eventing in 2018 and has transitioned into dressage with much success up to the Grand Prix level earning their USDF Gold medal in 2023. Sushi will be focussed on low level eventing in 2025. Sushi is owned by Edward Ewbank and leased by Rachel Narrow.
DAMSEL BFF (Dressage)
Damsel is another top bred mare from Lauren Dearlove at Parade Field Farm and Denise Williams from Birch Creek Farm and owned by Edward Ewbank. Damsel is a 2014 foal standing at 16.1/2hh by Grand Prix Stallion Donner Weiss out of a Master 850 mare. With International and Olympic Dressage lines on both sides of her lineage it’s no surprise that Damsel has accelerated in her career. Damsel started competing in 2019 and stepped up to the Inter 1 level successfully in 2023. Damsel and Edward spent most of 2024 training towards their Grand Prix debut together later in the year where they went on to win. Edward is excited for the 2025 season with Damsel, they’ll be targeting the CDI circuit to qualify for the 2026 World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany.
MACLAREN (Dressage)
MacLaren know as Nik around the barn stands at 16hh, he is a 2011 Swedish warmblood X PRE gelding. Nik was bred by by Jan Brink of Tullstorp Stables in Sweden. He is by the renowned three time Olympic dressage stallion Briar 899 and out of an FEI PRE mare owned by Jan’s wife. Nik has competed lightly in Sweden up to the PSG level and debuted at Grand Prix with Edward in 2024. Nik and Edward went on to qualify and compete at the USDF Great American Regional Championships at Grand Prix in 2024. Nik is a pleasure to work with and has a never ending engine always trying his best to please and give 100%. Nik has been leased out for the 2025 season and has been happily teaching the ropes to his adoring new rider.
SERENITY (Dressage)
Serenity also known as Button around the barn is a 2020 Oldenburg chestnut mare owned by Edward Ewbank and bred by top breeder Lauren Lee Dearlove of Parade Field Farm. Button is by Baltic Sun and out of a Donnerhall mare Havana. Edward started Button in the spring of 2024 and can’t wait to start their competition career together in 2025.
SILANTRO (Dressage/Eventer)
Silantro aka Lonny is a 2020 Oldenburger gelding bred by the amazing Lauren Lee Dearlove of Parade Field Farm and owned by longtime owner/client Alice Hanson. Lonny shares the same sire as his older sister Sushi, Sempatico. Lonny is an absolute dude who has been progressing quickly in his education. We’re excited to start competing in the upcoming 2025 season.
PL RED SANGRIA (Dressage)
Sangria is a 2018 14.2hh Deutscches Reitpony chestnut mare by PL Macchiato and out of PL Gwenyth. Sangria is ridden and owned by Amber Duncan. Amber acquired Sangria mid 2024 and promptly qualified for the Great American Regional Dressage Championships at Training and first level. Finishing sixth in 2024 Amber will be aiming for second level and third level in 2025.
QUICI-G (Dressage)
Quici-G, aka Q-Ball is a complete dude. Owned by Janey Thompson, Q is a 2016 German warmblood standing at 16.2hh. Q Ball has competed successfully up to third level at USDF dressage competitions with Rachel Cervone and will now be showing Janey the ropes. Janey and Q-Ball have been progressing as a partnership quickly and look forward to tackling the 2025 season together.
GENTLEMEN’S CHOICE (Dressage/Eventer)
Guinness is 2008 16.1hh draft cross gelding owned by Janey Thompson. Guinness is an out and out dude with a style and way of going that is uniquely his own. He loves to jump and take care of his rider, competing and winning at many horse trials up to the novice level and also gaining placings and wins in the pure dressage arena up to first level. Guinness really is a gentleman and takes pride in caring for his rider. Janey and Guinness did us all proud at the 2024 USDF GAIGS regional dressage championships at training level and will be aiming for the first level in 2025.
LOUGHNATOUSA ROYAL FLUSH (Dressage/Eventer)
Buddy is a 2014 16hh chestnut Irish Sport horse gelding owned by Alice Hanson. Originally imported and trained by Tootie Anderson and competed successfully with Tootie before coming to Ewbank Equestrian where he continued his competition success with Edward Ewbank and Sophie and John Stremple. Buddy has been showing with placings throughout 2023 season. Buddy and owner Alice will be aiming to compete in the USDF GAIGS regional Championships in 2024 along with eventing.
DA VINCI Z (Dressage)
Da Vinci Z, or Duke as he’s known around the stables is an 18.1hh Zangersheide gelding owned by Abby Hacecky. Abby and Duke originally began their career together playing around in hunter land. In 2023 Abby joined the team at Ewbank Equestrian and her large goofball Duke followed along shorter after. Duke and Abby have gone on to compete successfully at training and first level during the 2024 season and went on to finish third at the Great American Regional Dressage Championships. Duke and Abby will be preparing for the 2025 season at second and third level.
FERNHILL FIFTH AVENUE (Eventer)
Five is a 2011 16.2hh Irish sport horse gelding (Manhatten X Rockbarton) owned by Alice Hanson. Five has competed successfully up to the FEI CCI2-L level. He has had multiple wins at prelim and was the winner of the Junior Training rider division area 3 championships in 2017. Five also competed with wins in the 1.10m high children’s jumpers and is schooling up to the third level movements in pure dressage. He has a lovable temperament; we enjoy competing and training him for his owner Alice Hanson.
