Edward began his riding career in the show jumping world, competing in his first Grand Prix at 15. Three years later he completed his first Advanced horse trials with the same horse, Habbakuk Clannad. Since then he has competed through the Advanced and CCI*** levels. He has trained under Heelan Tompkins, Penny Castle, and Lynn Whiting in New Zealand. His riding brought him to Clifton Eventers, one of the most well known producers of  talented New Zealand eventing horses. There he trained with Jonathon Paget, as well as training and competing numerous Clifton horses. Edward moved to the US in 2012 to pursue better riding oppurtunites in the future. After taking a year and a half to foxhunt and adjust to life in America, he began actively competing again in 2014. Since he has been in the states, Edward has hunted as a professional with The Orange County Hunt, The Piedmont Foxhounds, and The Snickersville Hounds.
